I’d like to take a second and thank Alex Stoddard, who will probably never see this, for his creative genius. He is, by far, my favorite photographer and artist. If I had never stumbled upon his artwork I can honestly say I would have never gotten into photography. I find myself time and time again going page by page through his flicker account and I still have the same speechlessness that I had the first time I saw his work. For my final project in Photography one of the options was to copy an artist and right when i read it I knew exactly what i want to do. The newest nine images I posted are my attempts to recreate the magic I see in Alex Stoddard’s photos. Of course, mine are second best, but it made me realize how much work goes into each and every one of his photographs. ..with the added challenge of the majority of his being self portraits. Thanks Alex.
Also, I’d like to thank Josh for volunteering to take these pictures and not making any of it awkward. …for me at least. haha. thanks Josh, I definitely owe you one.
